How Much Does Color Analysis Cost in Utah?
By Kyshel Belnap, certified 22-season color analyst · October 20, 2026
Most in-person color analyses in Northern Utah cost about $200 to $300. At The True Color Experience in Pleasant View, near Ogden, a 1.5–2 hour in-person color analysis is $247. That includes professional draping, your exact season in the 22-palette system, and a digital swatch with 120+ colors to keep.

What does color analysis cost at The True Color Experience?

| Color Analysis | $247 | 1.5–2 hours |
| Color Analysis + Makeup Analysis | $297 | 2–2.5 hours |
| Color Analysis for 2 | $197 per person ($394 total) | 3–3.5 hours |
| Color Analysis for 3 | $197 per person ($590 total) | 3.5–4 hours |

What's included in the price?
- In-person draping to identify your undertone
- Your color season in the 22-palette system
- Recommendations for hair, makeup, clothing and jewelry
- A digital swatch with 120+ colors in your palette
- Tips for using your colors, plus FAQs for ongoing help
- The option to buy a fabric swatch to take shopping (included with the Color Analysis + Makeup Analysis session)
Why is color analysis expensive?
Color analysis takes specialized training, professional drapes and controlled lighting, and you only need it once, since your palette lasts for life. Prices depend on a few things:
- The system: a 4-season or 12-season analysis is less specific than the 22-palette system I use.
- In person or online: online analyses from photos cost less, but cameras and screens change how colors look. In-person draping shows how colors actually react with your skin.
- Training: certified analysts use calibrated drapes and controlled lighting.
- What you take home: a digital or fabric swatch makes the results easy to use when you shop.
Can I save by bringing a friend?
Yes. Booking with a friend or family member brings the price to $197 per person, and it's more fun to see each other's results. For groups larger than three, contact me.
Is it worth the cost?
Most clients find their palette saves them money, because they stop buying clothes and makeup that never quite work. Read my answer to "Is color analysis worth it?" or see all services and book.
